“Hiking is a bit like life: The journey only requires you to put one foot in front of the other…again and again and again. And if you allow yourself the opportunity to be present throughout the entirety of the trek, you will witness beauty every step of the way, not just at the summit”

With the new way of life that only pandemics can deliver, I’ve decided to really focus on recharging and reconnecting with the outdoors.

One of the great things about hiking is that it puts you out in nature where the elements contribute to the grade and difficulty of the routes. There’s also so much beauty and calm surrounding you, as far as your eyes can see.

The hike has everything: well-maintained trails, climbs and flats, and panoramic views.

There’s wildlife spotting opportunities as you hike, which may at times have you rethinking your trail and sometimes opting to walk a shorter path then you’d expect.

One of the hardships of outdoor hiking is that sometimes the elements win, and you find yourself dehydrated and about to collapse near the summit or the end of your hike. 😳

There are so many beautiful trails to be discovered as I lounge and wonder which challenging terrain I’ll venture to next.
Thank you for taking a moment to follow along as I go about my day in thought. Happy Trails. ❤️donna
