Open for outdoor dining and takeout, SteelCraft unites local eateries with a communal dining space in 3 locations; Garden Grove, Long Beach and Bellflower.
If you haven’t visited or revisited a SteelCraft since the pandemic, perhaps you should. We did and it’s truly a great place to meet up with a friend.
SteelCraft’s staff were constantly wiping down and sanitizing tables and chairs, I even saw cleaned tables being recleaned. Hand sanitizers can be seen in multiple locations with signs encouraging patrons to wash their hands. No fear of crowds either.
Renegade Taco has a Tuesday and Thursday 1/2 price special on their street tacos. I’m munching on the lemongrass pork, it’s not your everyday taco! The crispy potato taco satisfied Morgan’s tummy and was worth the $2 Taco Tuesday price! 👍🏼
We ordered Pork Bulgogi, Ahi Tuna Poke and Atlantic Salmon plate from Barrio. The mildly spicy bulgogi was delicious and the portions were generous. Lenny’s salmon was “okay” in his words. I would not recommend the ahi poke special for $10 (should have ordered 5 more tacos instead 🤣). The 1/2 inch tuna cubes were heavily marinated, masking any taste of the tuna or it’s freshness.
Cauldron is known for it’s creamy liquid nitrogen-churned ice cream, which is formed into the shape of a rose. My choice today was the Sun, Moon & Stars that blends oolong, jasmine and green tea. I personally couldn’t distinguish any one flavor, it’s definitely rich and creamy.
It’s apparent SteelCraft and their vendors are providing the best possible and safest “dine-in” experience in an outdoor setting. And, with so few diners there were no lines or issues with physical distancing.
Continue to be mindful, stay safe and keep informed.
