It was a bake day Wednesday as I preheat my oven and mix together sugar, butter, eggs and over ripen bananas.

My “go to” banana bread recipe from a Hawaii (Honpa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple) cookbook published in 1973. 😳

While the bread bakes for an hour, I measure out ingredients for peanut butter cookies. It’s a dessert feel good kind of day.

My version of the Classic Peanut Butter Cookie is much smaller in size then Allysa Saw’s recipe. https://allybakes.ca/2019/04/01/classic-peanut-butter-cookies/

As I slide in my cookie trays to bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, I remove the banana bread. This recipe has been a winner and tastes as good as it looks. 👍🏼

Freshly baked peanut butter cookies goes hand in hand with a glass of milk. I’m thankful this new recipe required a “perfect” 350 degree setting; 350 is the temperature my digital oven is stuck at. 🤣
I hope you enjoyed my day of baking and maybe you’re challenging yourself creatively during these days at home as we continue to social distance. Be mindful, stay safe and keep informed ❤️
