A Year Older

It’s my birthday and I don’t even mind that I’m another year older.

I want to relish everything good and worth celebrating about my life, as well as celebrate those people who are in it that make it brighter, fun and more love-filled.

As we get older, our lives are opened to so many more opportunities and responsibilities. We decide on how we want to live each moment. At 96, my Mom is enjoying “Wacky Wednesday”! ❤️

Life is truly what you make it, no matter what stage in life you’re in. Simply enjoy it!

FOOD: Brodard Restaurant, a new dining first experience and trying their famous Grilled Pork Spring Rolls – Nem Nuớng Cuốn, pork wrapped in rice paper with lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, cilantro, chives, daikon and mint served with Brodard’s house special sauce.

Banh khot, mini-sized rice pancake with shrimp and Egg Rolls & BBQ Pork Vermicelli – Bún Chả Giò, Thịt Nướng

This well known Vietnamese restaurant opened it’s Fountain Valley location in 2017 and I’ve been wanting to visit sooner, however twice before the lines were out the door. I recommend dining here on off hours. I will need to return for some dessert.

Taro Boba Milk Tea, Open Kitchen producing countless spring rolls and the Counter of Desserts
My House-made Birthday Chocolate-Chunk Cookie Sundae: A warm Triple Chunk bake cookie bottom with Vanilla Ice Cream topped with 2 Chocolate Chip Cookie “ears”, whipped cream and caramel & chocolate sauce dizzle.

My Happy Place: Where else would I be on my birthday.

Hideaway’s Tiki Dole Whip Bowl are $14.00 each and the latest new item out today; Millennium Falcon Popcorn Bucket that lights up for $25.00. Sadly, the Baby Yoda Jersey shirts are currently sold out. Luckily, I came to ride, eat and have fun.

Kirby and Barb met me at Disneyland and made it truly a memorable birthday.

A lot can change within a year and if the remainder of my life has as much to offer as this past year did, then I’m excited to see what lies ahead. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I am.

67….bring it on!
